My Brother and His Heart

An Image of St. John of the Cross

“8. The question which the rich young man puts to Jesus of Nazareth is one which rises from the depths of his heart. It is an essential and unavoidable question for the life of every man, for it is about the moral good which must be done, and about eternal life. The young man senses that there is a connection between moral good and the fulfilment of his own destiny. He is a devout Israelite, raised as it were in the shadow of the Law of the Lord. If he asks Jesus this question, we can presume that it is not because he is ignorant of the answer contained in the Law. It is more likely that the attractiveness of the person of Jesus had prompted within him new questions about moral good. He feels the need to draw near to the One who had begun his preaching with this new and decisive proclamation: ‘The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe in the Gospel’ (Mk 1:15).”

Encyclical Veritatis Splendor IOANNES PAULUS PP. II

At the Throne of what is all good, there is a man who asks God a question. The question offers to God the attractiveness of HIS AUTHORITY to answer the heart of a Rich Young Man.

In Spain, I found Segovia only at the location for me to return again. I did not make it to the tomb of St. John of the Cross in Segovia, Spain on my last day of pilgrimage of Spain before my flight to return to America the following day.

And I realized the difficulty of reaching a man as a woman. Only a Father is ONE with the SON! As woman, she is Mother to him only because of the Father. My heart has realized the SON TO BE BROTHER!

Who are my brother, sister, mother?

The ones who do the WILL OF THE FATHER!

Such is the AUTHORITY of ATTRACTIVE ~

FATHER is the Authority.

I am Meryl and you are Dominic.

I am Teresa and you are John.

And when the Father loves Mother, the two are ONE and the SON IS WELL!

To intervene as Daughter

“…… the Magisterium itself is considered capable of intervening in matters of morality only in order to “exhort consciences” and to “propose values”, in the light of which each individual will independently make his or her decisions and life choices.”

IOANNES PAULUS PP. II, VERITATIS SPLENDOR

How does a daughter propose and implement a consideration to the Church Fathers? How does she exhort the conscience towards a decision? I tell you, she neither compiles a notion of which she has not been submissive. Nor does she offer a notion that her Head is not them.

She is an Authority as female.

She is an Authority as a submissive daughter to a Good and Eternal Heavenly Father.

A law and the Heart of Person

The relationship between man’s freedom and God’s law is most deeply lived out in the “heart” of the person, in his moral conscience. As the Second Vatican Council observed: “In the depths of his conscience man detects a law which he does not impose on himself, but which holds him to obedience. Always summoning him to love good and avoid evil, the voice of conscience can when necessary speak to his heart more specifically: ‘do this, shun that’. For man has in his heart a law written by God. To obey it is the very dignity of man; according to it he will be judged (cf. Rom 2:14-16)”.

Veritatis Splendor, IOANNES PAULUS PP. II

“What does your heart tell you,” asks God.

My heart tells me there are voices of evil and there is the voice of good.

And the evil voice removes my heart and I am no longer whole.

The Law of Judgment and the Angry daughter

You shall not kill; and whoever kills shall be liable to judgment’. But I say to you that every one who is angry with his brother shall be liable to judgment… You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery’. But I say to you that every one who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart” (Mt 5:21-22, 27-28). Jesus himself is the living “fulfilment” of the Law inasmuch as he fulfills its authentic meaning by the total gift of himself: he himself becomes a living and personal Law, who invites people to follow him; through the Spirit, he gives the grace to share his own life and love and provides the strength to bear witness to that love in personal choices and actions (cf. Jn 13:34-35).”

Veritatis Splendor, IOANNES PAULUS PP. II

What is the justified anger, in which the living and the dead have not coincided?

For each angry daughter, there is a dimension of death in the taking.

A thousand deaths shall the witness be for the MAN who loves a WOMAN!

And a daring proposal is the love of a BRIDEGROOM to die for her.

Yet, what is the death in love?

There is no death when the sacrifice is for her to meet HIM where He is.

Then what is the anger that kills and is the death that is a degree of deriving an exemplary model of deceit?

Shall I kill for my own gain or for the life of those around me?

To kill for life?

That is not the sound of life.

To die for love?

Does this entitle a death by murder?

What has been twisted is this inarguable decree that there is malice and death and there is sacrifice and death.

Shall I look at a woman and bring death to her?

or shall I look at her and die for her?

The Gift of a Daughter

The gift does not lessen but reinforces the moral demands of love: ‘This is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another just as he has commanded us’ (1 Jn 3:32). One can ‘abide’ in love only by keeping the commandments, as Jesus states: ‘If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love’ (Jn 15:10). “

Veritatis Splendor, IOANNES PAULUS PP. II

There is a flow in a woman’s heart and the deception is thinking it should not be a natural condition in her blood to begin a sustaining formation of living. Our hearts are restless, not blocked with inconsiderate and violations of conditioned agreements.

Even what we find is not a reality is not even seen seriously as a factor for decision making in your consideration to what you eat.

You will eventually block the arteries in your refusal to abide in the order of healthy diets.

So why is the concept of a direction of moral capacity so despised?

The culpability at a capacity ~

“The primary and decisive element for moral judgment is the object of the human act, which establishes whether it is capable of being ordered to the good and to the ultimate end, which is God. This capability is grasped by reason in the very being of man, considered in his integral truth, and therefore in his natural inclinations, his motivations and his finalities, which always have a spiritual dimension as well. It is precisely these which are the contents of the natural law and hence that ordered complex of “personal goods” which serve the “good of the person”: the good which is the person himself and his perfection. These are the goods safeguarded by the commandments, which, according to Saint Thomas, contain the whole natural law.”

Veritatis Splendor, IOANNES PAULUS PP. II

When a woman confesses to a man, is it a humility in the order of deceit? I want you to know that a woman who knows the sin is the object of ordered capacity. The finality will always be humility. The good of each person is CHERISHED! The GOOD of the PERSON is the knowledge of the evil incapacitating him towards a freedom of what is TRUE!

A DAUGHTER of the CHURCH knows her father is GOOD!

The culpability of Daughter ~

This universality does not ignore the individuality of human beings, nor is it opposed to the absolute uniqueness of each person. On the contrary, it embraces at its root each of the person’s free acts, which are meant to bear witness to the universality of the true good. By submitting to the common law, our acts build up the true communion of persons and, by God’s grace, practice charity, “which binds everything together in perfect harmony” (Col 3:14). When on the contrary they disregard the law, or even are merely ignorant of it, whether culpably or not, our acts damage the communion of persons, to the detriment of each. “

Veritatis Splendor, IOANNES PAULUS PP. II

The damage a daughter can bring from an intensity of discord among a communion of persons is the Hand of Detriment. Who is the Hand of Detriment? The daughter or the Hand?

A woman ~ and a man

“These latter are above all promises, from which there also indirectly flow normative indications for the moral life. In their originality and profundity they are a sort of self- portrait of Christ, and for this very reason are invitations to discipleship and to communion of life with Christ.

Veritatis Splendor, IOANNES PAULUS PP. II

Is woman to be conformed to the promise of FATHER, or man?

What if the FATHER or man has deceived her?

Is it fair for WOMAN to live the indications for the moral life, as she watched the self-portrait of CHRIST being distorted?

A Child ~ of the Father

“Know, then, O beautiful soul, that you are the image of God”, writes Saint Ambrose. “Know that you are the glory of God (1 Cor 11:7). Hear how you are his glory. The Prophet says: Your knowledge has become too wonderful for me (cf. Ps. 138:6, Vulg.). That is to say, in my work your majesty has become more wonderful; in the counsels of men your wisdom is exalted. When I consider myself, such as I am known to you in my secret thoughts and deepest emotions, the mysteries of your knowledge are disclosed to me. Know then, O man, your greatness, and be vigilant”.

Veritatis Splendor, IOANNES PAULUS PP. II

The Father of BOTH SONS and DAUGHTERS knows the CHILDREN OF HIS BOSOM!

Who are the CHILDREN OF THE FATHER of GOODNESS?

Who are the INNOCENT who love the FATHER?

For in the mystery of the knowledge of GREATNESS, the little children are the ONE WHO know the secret.
