My Brother and His Heart

“8. The question which the rich young man puts to Jesus of Nazareth is one which rises from the depths of his heart. It is an essential and unavoidable question for the life of every man, for it is about the moral good which must be done, and about eternal life. The young man senses that there is a connection between moral good and the fulfilment of his own destiny. He is a devout Israelite, raised as it were in the shadow of the Law of the Lord. If he asks Jesus this question, we can presume that it is not because he is ignorant of the answer contained in the Law. It is more likely that the attractiveness of the person of Jesus had prompted within him new questions about moral good. He feels the need to draw near to the One who had begun his preaching with this new and decisive proclamation: ‘The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe in the Gospel’ (Mk 1:15).”

Encyclical Veritatis Splendor IOANNES PAULUS PP. II

At the Throne of what is all good, there is a man who asks God a question. The question offers to God the attractiveness of HIS AUTHORITY to answer the heart of a Rich Young Man.

In Spain, I found Segovia only at the location for me to return again. I did not make it to the tomb of St. John of the Cross in Segovia, Spain on my last day of pilgrimage of Spain before my flight to return to America the following day.

And I realized the difficulty of reaching a man as a woman. Only a Father is ONE with the SON! As woman, she is Mother to him only because of the Father. My heart has realized the SON TO BE BROTHER!

Who are my brother, sister, mother?

The ones who do the WILL OF THE FATHER!

Such is the AUTHORITY of ATTRACTIVE ~

FATHER is the Authority.

I am Meryl and you are Dominic.

I am Teresa and you are John.

And when the Father loves Mother, the two are ONE and the SON IS WELL!

To intervene as Daughter

“…… the Magisterium itself is considered capable of intervening in matters of morality only in order to “exhort consciences” and to “propose values”, in the light of which each individual will independently make his or her decisions and life choices.”

IOANNES PAULUS PP. II, VERITATIS SPLENDOR

How does a daughter propose and implement a consideration to the Church Fathers? How does she exhort the conscience towards a decision? I tell you, she neither compiles a notion of which she has not been submissive. Nor does she offer a notion that her Head is not them.

She is an Authority as female.

She is an Authority as a submissive daughter to a Good and Eternal Heavenly Father.

A law and the Heart of Person

The relationship between man’s freedom and God’s law is most deeply lived out in the “heart” of the person, in his moral conscience. As the Second Vatican Council observed: “In the depths of his conscience man detects a law which he does not impose on himself, but which holds him to obedience. Always summoning him to love good and avoid evil, the voice of conscience can when necessary speak to his heart more specifically: ‘do this, shun that’. For man has in his heart a law written by God. To obey it is the very dignity of man; according to it he will be judged (cf. Rom 2:14-16)”.

Veritatis Splendor, IOANNES PAULUS PP. II

“What does your heart tell you,” asks God.

My heart tells me there are voices of evil and there is the voice of good.

And the evil voice removes my heart and I am no longer whole.

The Law of Judgment and the Angry daughter

You shall not kill; and whoever kills shall be liable to judgment’. But I say to you that every one who is angry with his brother shall be liable to judgment… You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery’. But I say to you that every one who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart” (Mt 5:21-22, 27-28). Jesus himself is the living “fulfilment” of the Law inasmuch as he fulfills its authentic meaning by the total gift of himself: he himself becomes a living and personal Law, who invites people to follow him; through the Spirit, he gives the grace to share his own life and love and provides the strength to bear witness to that love in personal choices and actions (cf. Jn 13:34-35).”

Veritatis Splendor, IOANNES PAULUS PP. II

What is the justified anger, in which the living and the dead have not coincided?

For each angry daughter, there is a dimension of death in the taking.

A thousand deaths shall the witness be for the MAN who loves a WOMAN!

And a daring proposal is the love of a BRIDEGROOM to die for her.

Yet, what is the death in love?

There is no death when the sacrifice is for her to meet HIM where He is.

Then what is the anger that kills and is the death that is a degree of deriving an exemplary model of deceit?

Shall I kill for my own gain or for the life of those around me?

To kill for life?

That is not the sound of life.

To die for love?

Does this entitle a death by murder?

What has been twisted is this inarguable decree that there is malice and death and there is sacrifice and death.

Shall I look at a woman and bring death to her?

or shall I look at her and die for her?

The Father who is Truth ~

“The answer is only possible thanks to the splendour of the truth which shines forth deep within the human spirit”

Veritatis Splendor, IOANNES PAULUS PP. II

What is the depth of the HUMAN spirit and the BRIDE who is the DAUGHTER of a FATHER?

She is the TRUTH who knows the Father.

The Spirit and the BRIDE say, “Come.”

And when she says, “Come,” does the HUMAN spirit know the TRUTH?

I am a BRIDE who knows the FATHER who is TRUTH!

The human SPIRIT knows the TRUTH!

The deception is knowing not to derive the TRUTH to ever take its decision towards finding the TRUTH!

The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.”

The Bridegroom who is the TRUTH, the WAY and the LIFE will only be the ONE who COMES!
